Here are some questions to ask your potential carpet or tile cleaning companies:
1. What type of equipment do they use? The reason for this question is there several types of cleaning methods. Truck mounted units these units will produce higher heats and considerable more vacuum to remove more dirt and soil leaving your carpets cleaner and drier. There are also portable units that are brought into your home. These units can not get that water as hot as truck mounted units nor do they have the vacuum capabilities. These units are good for hard to reach office buildings where it would be difficult for a truck mount to reach.
2. How long have they been in business? Some companies have been around for years and some companies are here today and gone tomorrow. Alot of times a former employee from a big cleaning franchise will work for that company for years and years. Finally they decide to branch out on there own and start their own company. Which is perfectly fine, as long as they still offer the same quality that they did for years.
3. How long have they been doing carpet cleaning for? This question go’s with the previous question.
4. Do they have any certifications? The IICRC sets our industry standards. They are a non profit organization.
5. Do they have any referrals? Sometimes this question can be difficult because some people do not want strangers contacting them.
6. Are they licensed and insured? This is an important question because if something happens are and can they pay to get it fixed or replaced. Ask to see a copy of their insurance.
7. What does this price include and can I get it in writing? This way you will know exactly what you are paying. Also this will let you know just what you are getting for your money.
These are just a few questions that you can ask. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions even if you think they may be dumb. A good carpet cleaner has heard them all and will not hesitate to answer them.
